Truthfully, whoever says this is full of shit and probably has never watched a Bollywood movie in their life. Because if they had, they would know that there is a vault of awesome that they are not accessing. This is a primer, for everyone who has never seen a Bollywood movie but somehow has an unfounded opinion on it and for everyone who has wanted to see a Bollywood movie but has been overwhelmed at how much there is. This is not an end all be all, mind you. These are some of my favorites, let’s keep that fact in mind. This is honestly just the beginning and in order to be fair, I included two movies from the Telugu speaking film industry (Tollywood) and the Tamil speaking film industry (Kollywood) as India has more than one film industry. This is just a fun starter and not all of these films are serious. Some of these are campy, but I enjoy camp. Some of these are serious and one is even a rendition of Othello! So, please, take this as an enjoyable dip in a pool you previously didn’t know. Some of these links link to places where you can choose to watch it all at once or in parts. These movies are in general longer than English movies, so I wanted to give you guys that option, mostly because it’s easier in pieces. Some are also playlists that go from piece to piece and some, the other pieces are on the sidebar. All have English subtitles and if you are Youtube, make sure CC is on!
